Servo drive AX5112

The AX5000 single-axis servo drives combine high efficiency, versatility, and cost-effectiveness. They come fully equipped with all essential operational components, including the power supply unit, EMC filter, and DC-link capacitors. Featuring a cascaded control loop structure, these units ensure exceptionally fast and highly dynamic positioning. Built-in high-performance EtherCAT communication provides seamless interfacing with PC-based control architectures.

Available in various current ratings from 1.5 A to 170 A, the range accommodates a wide spectrum of power requirements.

The AX-Bridge quick-connection system simplifies multi-axis setups by effortlessly joining multiple AX5000 units. Its pluggable supply and coupling modules distribute mains power, the DC link, and the 24 V DC control voltage across devices. The drive connects directly to a broad selection of motor types—including synchronous, asynchronous, linear, torque, and voice coil motors—without requiring extra components. Additionally, the multi-feedback interface supports all standard encoder protocols, and a sensorless control mode can be parameterized for both synchronous and asynchronous motors.

With the optional AX58xx module, integrated drive safety features can be enabled to meet the stringent requirements of EN ISO 13849-1:2015 (Cat. 4, PL e), EN 61508:2010 (SIL 3), and EN 62061:2005 + A1:2013/A2:2015 (SIL CL3).

The AX5000 architecture was tailored specifically for EtherCAT to fully leverage its motion control advantages. This delivers ultra-short cycle times—even across large-scale networks—alongside precise synchronization and simultaneous execution.
